Living Lab. Campus, having provided ideas for solving local pending issues

Jeju National University's National University Promotion Project Group (Director Kim Jae-hoon) is an urban culture regeneration academy to solve pending issues in Jeju, the Living Lab in 2022. The 'Campus) Program' was concluded after a performance report.
The ‘Living Lab. Campus Project’ means 'living laboratory in life'. This is the experiment in which Jeju residents directly become the subjects to solve problems of local communities and industrial companies focusing on the field in their daily lives. The project was joined by the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Urban Regeneration Support Center and the Jeju Social and Economic Support Center.
In the results of the performance report, the best prize was won by the team ‘TARA’ (Tire And Recycle Acts- JNU Huh Jae-joon). The team suggested the ways to reduce tire dust for vehicles operating in the region to maintain a clean air environment in Jeju. The idea was evaluated to be an excellent idea to maintain clean Jeju if it goes through regional policies and technological supplementation in the future.
The JJ Culture Planning Group (Moon Mi-young) received the Excellence Award. The team has been recognized to contribute to creating a play culture for healthy children in the community by proposing new ways and programs for the ‘Dong playground’.
At the performance briefing, ideas for solving regional issues in various fields such as developing new tourist attractions and developing recycling products using pet bottle caps were presented.
JNU has been improving community problems through cooperation with public institutions and community organizations through the National University Development Project.
In addition, JNU plays the role of the regional base university that coexists with the region by supporting the capacity building of local members to solve community problems through programs in which residents directly participate.
