JNU Establishing a Cooperative System for multicultural SW & AI Education in Jeju 

지역 다문화 SW·AI 교육을 위한 협력체계 구축

On the 10th of January, 2023. JNU signed a business agreement with the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office of Education, Jeju ICT Business Association, Jeju City Family Center, Seogwipo City Family Center, Haiti Digital Learning Center Social Cooperative, Jeju Migrant Center and International Family Cultural Center for Multicultural SW & AI education in Jeju.

This agreement is aimed at operating the "Digital New Software·AI Camp", Disital SaeSsag Project organized by the Ministry of Education, 17 municipal and provincial offices of education, and the Korea Science and Creativity Foundation in order to foster 1 million digital talents. The project is being promoted to support digital competency education without blind spots for students who are relatively alienated from SW and AI education through customized camp programs.

In particular, based on the future IT technology developed by Jeju National University's Institute for Convergence Science Technology and Society (Director: Choi Geun-Bae) and Center for Creative Education (Director: Park Nam-Jae), the Multicultural SW & AI camp in Jeju will select and operate a "future convergence capacity building learning program" that can be applied to school sites.

The opened program focuses on developing humanities literacy and future convergence talent capabilities with the topics such as ▲ Artificial intelligence communication humanities ▲ Multi-intelligent future ecosystem prediction learning ▲ AI technology and preservation of global diversity ▲ My only blockchain NFT picture in the world ▲ Learning the principles of digital therapy to prevent multicultural cyber violence ▲ Foreign Science's multinational criminal investigation.
