JNU - Hanwha Systems, industry-university cooperation agreement for space and UAM industry

제주대-한화시스템, 우주ㆍUAM 산업 산학협력 업무협약

Jeju National University and Hanwha Systems signed a business agreement at JNU on the 22nd of Dec. to cooperate in research and development in space and UAM (Urban Air Mobility, urban air transportation) and nurture professional talents in Jeju.

Through this agreement, the two organizations agreed to cooperate for mutual exchanges in the field of △nurturing experts in the space and UAM fields △joint research and business development for Jeju-style UAM commercial services △mutual exchanges in the field of industry-academia cooperation in the aerospace field.

President Kim Eel-hwan said, “Jeju National UniversityJeju National University will cultivate new business-specific talents such as next-generation space development and Jeju-type UAM services by establishing a successful industry-academic innovation models.”

CEO Eoh Sung-chul said, "Hanwha System aims to contribute to fostering professional talents who will lead the space industry and future mobility paradigm by contributing to industry-academic programs that will lead the competitiveness of the country and Jeju." and added, “Through industry-academic cooperation with Jeju National University, it is expected to create a great synergy in joint research in the space sector and commercialization of UAM in Jeju.”
