JNU FAMTP, The Best Educational Institution of Educational Operation & Educational Performance

Jeju National University's Future Agricultural Management Training Project Group (JNU FAMTPG, Director Kim Dong-soon) was selected as the best educational institution with an S grade in terms of educational operation and educational performance in the evaluation results of the 2022 Agricultural School Education Support Project 'Future Agricultural Management Curriculum', which is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs and the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Food Education and Culture Information Service.

In addition, JNU FAMTPG won the grand prize in the selection of best practices in the ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) field.

With government subsidies, JNU FAMTPG has been conducting specialized education in the agricultural industry for students and graduates of agricultural sciences in order to nurture young agricultural managers for 17 years from 2005 to the present. In particular, since 2018, the project group has received an S grade for customized and specialized education, etc., which has solidified its position as an excellent institution for educational operation.

The award for best practices in the ESG field was highly praised for its high-tech start-up education on shiitake mushrooms to ease the burden of care for families with developmental disabilities and provide economic independence opportunities. JNU FAMTPG was evaluated for realizing social values by providing opportunities for people with developmental disabilities to create jobs and participate in local economic activities. The training lasted a total of 10 weeks from May to July.

Director Kim Dong-soon (Department of Plant Resoures & Environment in College of Applied Life Sciences) said, "JNU FAMTPG has been focusing more on smart farm education for college students since this year," adding, "We will develop smart farm education programs that contribute to the community such as this case of family education for developmental disabilities.“
