JNU successfully held the ‘2022 University Innovation Student Success Forum (UISSF)’ at the Grand Hyatt Hotel on the 18th with Pusan National University, Konkuk University, and Ajou University.
The UISSF was organized by JNU's University Innovation Support Project Group, which was a performance-proliferation forum, where students from two national universities (Busan National University and Jeju National University) and two private universities (Konkuk University and Ajou University) gathered to share the best examples of educational innovation. It began with a keynote speech by Shin Eui-cheol, head of the Center for International Development Cooperation at JNU with the theme of "Sustainable Development Goals and University Direction." Then, the event was held as a student-centered forum that shares "the achievements of student supporters' activities and examples of excellent student programs. “
The participants shared 8 teams' achievements such as JNU Innovation project monitoring group 'Master Community', 'Local Challenge Project' to realize social values. In addition, the seven teams' best practices were presented including the case of the "Educational Innovation Makers" activities, Ajou University Innovation Project Supporters "AINNO" and Konkuk University Monitoring Group "TamKU".
In particular, JNU's local Challenge project team drew attention, which produced and sold discarded plastic bottle caps as upcycling products and donated the profits to environmental organizations.
Kim Jae-hoon, head of the University Innovation Support Project at JNU said, "With this forum, JNU will continue to share and cooperate with Pusan National University, Ajou University, and Konkuk University," adding that "JNU is planning innovation programs such as operating a joint supporters of four universities (Supporters 4U)," adding that "JNU will continue to hold UISSF to spread the results of innovation projects obtained through sharing and cooperation between universities."
