JNU-Equinor Korea, MOU to train marine wind power professionals

Jeju National University and Equinor Korea (CEO Jacques-Etienne Michel) signed a business agreement at JNU on the 22nd of February to foster local talents specializing in offshore wind power.
With this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate with each other to nurture professional manpower through strengthening education and research capabilities in the offshore wind power sector by jointly opening offshore wind power curriculum and practice programs with Jeju National University and establishing industry-university cooperation programs such as internship programs and advanced offshore wind power field practice.
JNU President Kim Eel-hwan said, "Through this agreement, JNU expects to strengthen the university's education and research system in the field of offshore wind power with a focus on practice, and contribute to job creation and economic revitalization in Jeju through industry-university cooperation with the excellent company."
