JNU’s signature course, 'Jeju Olle-gil & Self-reflection,' continues to gain popularity. Furthermore, students from universities nationwide consistently visit to enroll in this course. With Jeju recently emerging as a hub for 'K-Learncation,' JNU anticipates expanding credit exchanges with other universities, particularly those in metropolitan areas.

Recent national audit data, submitted by Kim Moon-soo of the Democratic Party of Korea and a member of the National Assembly's Education Committee, reveals that Jeju National University is the most popular choice for Seoul National University (SNU) students seeking to earn credits through exchange programs.

According to the data, 1,235 SNU students took classes at other universities through credit exchanges between 2021 and 2025. Of these, 559 took classes at JNU. In comparison, other popular universities included Korea University (108 students), Yonsei University (71), and Chung-Ang University (50).

It was found that most credit exchange students were particularly interested in JNU's seasonal semester course, 'Jeju Olle-gil & Self-reflection.'

The data further indicates a broader interest among Korean universities in 'Jeju Olle-gil & Self-reflection' courses.

According to JNU, this one-credit liberal arts course has been led by JNU President Kim Eel-hwan as the professor-in-charge since last year. The class facilitates students' career and academic planning through mentoring activities conducted while walking the Olle-gil with JNU mentors.

The course, which involves public institutions and companies participating as mentors to provide employment information to university students, consistently receives a strong response, with early closures of applicant registrations.

Furthermore, JNU's recent selection for the government's Glocal 3.0 project positions it to actively promote Global Learncation and consequently expand credit exchanges with university students worldwide.

JNU President Kim Eel-hwan stated, "I hope that students will reflect on themselves while exploring their future, and grow into individuals essential to society.“
