Jeju Field Painting' Team Launches 4-Day On-Site Drawing Project

Students from JNU College of Arts & Design have successfully completed a drawing collaboration project with Zipdanjisung, a youth village in Hongseong-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. The four-day project, held from July 17 to 20, saw the participation of the 'Jeju Field Painting' team, which included undergraduate students, graduate students, and supervising professors from JNU.

The 'Jeju Field Painting' team has a history of collaborating with local communities through projects aimed at revitalizing Jeju's downtown area. Building on these experiences, the team undertook this collaboration at the specific request of Hongseong Youth Village. Throughout the project, the team engaged with the local community through various artistic works, contributing significantly to regional revitalization through art.

Participating JNU students shared their insights, stating, "Through this project, we experienced firsthand how art can truly interact with and benefit a community." They added, "We aspire to foster artistic growth by continuing collaborations with diverse regions in the future.
