Dr. Lee Min-ji and Professor Jeong Su-yeon of the Department of Economics at Jeju National University, along with a researcher from the Jeju Women and Family Research Institute, received the 2025 Best Paper Award from the Korean Society of Appraisal.

Their research paper, titled “Does Housing Demand Respond to Investor Sentiment? Analysis of Housing Demand by Region, Housing Tenure, and Age Group,” was recognized as one of the top three papers published in the society’s journal Appraisal Studies in 2024. A panel of judges appointed by the society’s board selected the award-winning papers based on academic rigor and policy relevance. The award ceremony was held on June 26 during an academic conference hosted by the Korea Appraisal Board in Seocho-gu, Seoul.

Founded in 2001, the Korean Society of Appraisal is a professional academic organization dedicated to advancing the theory and practice of appraisal and real estate studies. Its journal, Appraisal Studies, is listed in the Korea Citation Index (KCI) and publishes empirical research and policy-oriented papers three times a year.
