JNU was selected as an "Excellent University" in the annual evaluation of the "2023 High School Education Contribution University Support Project" organized by the Ministry of Education and conducted by the Korea University Education Council.

This annual evaluation focused on 77 universities (Type I) entering the second year of the project, and the results of the '22 business operation and the implementation plan for the '24~'25 university admission process were relatively evaluated. Through this evaluation a total of 14 universities were selected as "excellent universities."

JNU received good reviews according to the direction of government policy in the evaluation in the followings; △ Resonable Operation of Social Integration Screening △ Participation of External Members of the University Admission △ Abolition of Mandatory CSAT Subjects △Enhancement of Admissions Officer Education △ Operation of High School Education Linkage & High School-University Linkage Programs, etc

As a result, JNU will be able to receive government support of KRW 430 million (approximately KRW 1.8 billion in 2019-2022) for project expenses in 2023.

Yi Eun-jou, Head of the Admissions Division, said, “JNU has been making continuous efforts to ensure fairness in the university admission process and to improve the quality of the evaluation operation,” adding, "JNU will continue to work hard to alleviate the burden of preparing for JNU entrance and improve the connection with high school education."
