JNU held the opening ceremony of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Center on the 9th of June.
For JNU Industry-Academic Cooperation Center, located on the east side of the main gate of JNU, JNU established its own plan in 2018 to develop an industry-academic cooperation cluster connecting JNU and local companies. Construction began in December 2020 and was completed in January 2023 after receiving a government budget bill (KRW 18.3 billion)
The industry-academic cooperation center, which has one basement floor to four floors above ground and a total floor area of 7,123.34m2, has created an industry-academic information exchange space for members of the school by providing exhibition space, cafeteria, information search room, and education and seminar room. On the second and fourth floors of the building, departments related to industry-academic cooperation, including the Industry-Academic Cooperation Group, moved in to focus on building information and infrastructure for university-academic cooperation.
The event celebrated the opening of the JNU Industry-Academic Cooperation Center following the completion of the project, followed by a progress report, a performance commemorating the opening, and a tour of the industry-academic cooperation center facility.
In the lobby on the first floor of the Industrial-Academic Cooperation Center, a presentation of the results of the Capstone Design of Jeju National University LINC 3.0 project was held. In addition, JNU students’ various ideas and results of the industry-academic cooperation were shared.
