JNU (President Kim Eel-hwan) and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province (Jeju-do) Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Kwang-soo) held the second regular meeting of the Policy Consultation Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) for the development of elementary, middle, and high school education on the 15th of June.

The committee has been holding regular meetings on a semi-annual basis since the inaugural ceremony held in December 2022, through the exchange agreement between JNU and Jeju-do Office of Education signed in September 2021.

JNU and Jeju-do Office of Education have pledged to continue their close collaboration in order to ensure that individuals born and raised in Jeju have access to the best education available in Jeju and to create a sustainable cycle where they can settle and contribute to Jeju's development.

President Kim Eel-Hwan said, "In order to enhance Jeju's competitiveness, JNU and Jeju-do Office of Education should collaborate in the all educational programs for primary, middle, and high school to nurture talents who can contribute to Jeju's future industries."
