Son Young-suk, JNU Associate Professor, Academic Award from the Korean Society for Japanese Language and Literature

JNU (President Kim Eel-hwan) announced that associate professor Son Young-suk from the Department of Japanese Language and Literature in the College of Humanities has received an academic award at the 48th International Academic Conference organized by the Korean Society for Japanese Language and Literature.
The Korean Society for Japanese Language and Literature has awarded the academic prize every two years to recognize researchers who have made significant contributions to the development of Japanese language research and Japanese education. Son was honored with this award for his work titled "Building a Large-Scale Spoken Language Database at the Individual Level in the Era of New Media - Focused on Video KWIC Automatic Generation". It was published in Volume 73 of "Studies in Japanese Language." Through his research, he demonstrated the capability to construct a large multimedia corpus database for spoken language search at the individual level and its potential applications in language research and foreign language learning.
