JNU Expands International Exchange Cooperation with 7 Institutions from 4 Countries

Strengthening the Foundation for Cooperation in Academic Exchange, Application, and Joint Research
Jeju National University (President Kim Eel-hwan) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with seven educational institutions from four countries in Central Asia and Mongolia on November 25 at Indah Hall, located within the JNU Museum. The ceremony served as a central event of the 2025 Central Asian and Mongolian education program, which invited officials from these educational institutions.
The agreement involved a total of seven organizations: ▲3 from Uzbekistan – World Language University, Samarkand State University of Foreign Studies, and Samarkand Silk Road International University of Tourism & Cultural Heritage;▲1 from Tajikistan – Tajik National University of Technology and Khujand State University;▲ 1 from Kazakhstan – Al-Farabi Kazakh National University; and from Mongolia – Mongolian University of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Dornogobi National Polytechnic University.
More than 20 high-ranking officials, including presidents and vice presidents of each institution, visited Jeju Island for the signing. The event commenced with greetings from Jeju National University President Kim Eel-hwan and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Vice President Yvaimov Margulan, followed by the agreement signing ceremony and commemorative photos.
Under this agreement, Jeju National University and each participating institution will collaborate in various areas, including ▲ student and faculty exchange, ▲ program development and operation, and ▲joint research.
This agreement provides Jeju National University with an opportunity to further strengthen its international cooperation network with major educational institutions across Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Mongolia, thereby establishing a sustainable and systematic foundation for global collaboration.
