JNU(President Kim Eel-hwan) held a meeting with Indonesian Minister Maman Abdurrahman of Small and Medium Enterprises and other officials at the Indah Hall in the JNU Museum on September 4. The purpose was to strengthen cooperation in startup development and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Representatives from the Indonesian Ministry of SMEs and Startups, officials from the Indonesian Embassy in Korea, and JNU faculty members attended the event. The two organizations shared their experiences and visions on key topics: startup education and talent training; shared growth of local communities and SMEs; and international cooperation and sustainability.
JNU President Kim Eel-hwan stated, "This meeting provides a meaningful venue for the two organizations to share experiences and wisdom, and to seek practical cooperation measures." He stressed that "JNU has been leading the development of startup talent and the creation of an innovative ecosystem based on its vision of 'a future to create together, a leap toward newness.' The common experiences and foundations between Indonesia and Korea will serve as a strong basis for future cooperation."
Through this meeting, JNU plans to strengthen its international cooperation network and further solidify its status as a national flagship university that contributes to the Jeju region and the global community, fostering continuous exchanges and joint projects with Indonesia's Ministry of SMEs.
