On June 3, Kim In-soon, Chairperson of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Association of the Korea Senior Citizens' Association, delivered KRW 10 million to the JNU Development Fund for scholarships at the JNU College of Nursing.

She has contributed a total of KRW 40 million to JNU's development funds, including KRW 20 million in 2015 and KRW 10 million donated by her second son, Yang Jae-hyuk, in 2019.

Kim was elected as the first female chairperson of the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Association of the Korea Senior Citizens' Association in 42 years. She graduated from Cheonnam National University Medical School and worked for 18 years at elementary schools in Jeollanam-do and Jeju-do as the first nursing teacher in Jeju.

Chairperson Kim expressed her hope that this donation will assist JNU nursing students in enhancing their nursing capabilities.
