JNU LINC3.0 Second-Year Annual Evaluation: 'Best', Receiving KRW 4.15 Billion

JNU's LINC 3.0 Project, (Directo, Kang Tae-young) received a 'Best' evaluation in the second annual evaluation of the third stage of the Industry-Academia-Research Cooperation Leading University Development Project (LINC 3.0), which is hosted by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea. As a result, JNU will receive the highest project funding in the region, with a national budget of KRW 4.15 billion.

In this evaluation, JNU LINC 3.0 was recognized for its excellent performance as a leading university in industry-academia-research cooperation. The team demonstrated JNU's vision and mid- to long-term development plan for industry-academia cooperation, as well as its strategy to enhance interconnectivity and resource sharing between local governments and regional innovation entities, centered around industry-academia cooperation information officers.

Additionally, JNU LINC 3.0 was highly evaluated for its various activities aimed at nurturing local talent and addressing local issues through cooperation projects linked to local governments. It was also praised for the results reflecting effective two-way collaboration between local governments, universities, and related organizations in order to creat value in specialized local fields through corporate support programs, including joint industry-academia technology development projects.

The project group aims to create value for the growth of the Jeju region by investing KRW 4.15 billion in project expenses for the third year. This investment will facilitate the establishment of a linkage and collaboration system between local governments and various innovative entities, enabling the group to strive towards meeting performance goals and ensuring sustainable growth.

Director Kang Tae-young said "JNU LINC 3.0 plans to establish a pioneering model for universities, fostering talents capable of contributing to regional coexistence, sharing, and collaboration in alignment with corporate dynamics." He also added, "JNU will further expand sustainable cooperation between regions, companies, and universities to ensure that they are well connected to the RISE system starting in 2025.“
