10대 교수회장에 오홍식… 9대 이어 연임
Prof. Oh Hong Shik succeeds himself as 10 faculty senate president

Professor Oh Hong Shik, unopposed candidate (Biology Education Majors), assumes the 10th presidency of the JNU faculty association.

He was re-elected with 90.26% support (306 out of 339 ballots casted) of the faculty. His term of office is 2 years effective November 11, 2020.

Professor Oh pledged to work for △ invigoration of university competitiveness, △ rights of faculty as well as all staff for a united faculty senate organization, △ active teachers labor union and organizational stability, and △ a university that listens to the faculty.

He earned his doctorate degree from Kyushu University and served as Dean of the college, President of the Korean Society of Ornithology, and in many other capacities including his current post as Director of Global Teachers University Project and President of the Nationwide Public University Faculty Association. He has also been active in research.
