Research publications from Prof. Hyun laboratory cited in BRIC highlights

Professor Hyun Jin Won of the Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) School of Medicine Jeju Natural Product Medicine Research Center has her research publication recorded in the “Scientists Highlighting Korea,” a new feature published by BRIC. Her paper published in the journal “Archives of Toxicology” (June, 2018) achieved the >75/3 year citation criteria “Web of Science” published by Institute for Scientific Information and as a result she made the BRIC listing.

The BRIC listing also included her other publications, “The International Journal of Biochemistry & Cell Biology” (January 2012; cited 134 times; July 2009, 133 citations), “Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry” (July, 2009, 125 citations and April 2004, 195 citations), “FEBS Letters” (December 2005, 157 citations) “Journal of Cellular Biochemistry” (February 2006, 148 citations).

Her research publications revolved around the pathological mechanisms, prevention and development of therapeutics derived from Jeju regional natural products and compounds associated with dermatologic diseases and cancers arising from environmental stress.

The BRIC listing features recent publications with more than 60 /3 years or total 120 citations, reflecting a superior quality of the author’s publications and international recognition.
