Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) was selected as a model to conduct the 2021 KF global e-school Korean language education project.
As an institution offering Korean language lectures in VOD format, Jeju National University provides Korean language classes for overseas universities for one year beginning 2021.
The KF global e-school Korean language education project aims at providing Korean language teachers overseas through domestic-international network consortium.
Under the program, Jeju National University offers VOD classes in Korean language phonemics, grammas, semantics, orthography, history of Korean literature, elementary and intermediate Korean languages.
Together with Korea International Foundation and Jeju International Free City Development Center, Jeju National University is involved in carrying out Korean language education by meeting the needs for Korean language education and developing personnel networking with 21 Korean language graduate students invited from Russia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and India from September this year till early February 2021, especially focusing on education of the next generation teachers in New Southern and Northern Hemispheres.
Faculty members participating in the project are experts in their own fields (phonemics, grammas, semantics, etc) and Korean language teachers are certified for teaching in Korean language, literature, and language education.
Mr. Kim Won Bo of Korea International Foundation expressed his confidence in Jeju National University for accomplishing the overseas Korean language project.
In addition to JNU, Kyunghee University, Busan University of Foreign Language, Cyber University of Foreign Language, Sookmyung Women’s University, and Honam University are participating in the 2021 KF Global e-School Project: VOD Program.
