Wild Animal Center rescues African snake Volphitone

버려지는 애완동물 유기, 누구의 책임 ! Who should be responsible for abandoned pets

Jeju National University Jeju Wild Animal Rescue Center (Yoon Young Min, Director) rescued apparently abandoned snake (a volphitone?) in the fisheries water reserve in Aewol, Jeju City last Monday (November 16, 2020).

The center staff believe that the snake is on the list of internationally near extinct tropical species. The snake has now been certified by international wild life agreement (CITES).

It weighs 250g and 70cm long. It is known to grow as long as 1.5m.
