JNU pushes education reform preparing for 4th industrial revolution

미래산업 전문가 초청 특강…첨단 및 융복합학과 신설 추진 Invited talk by future industry expert------ Cutting edge and interdisciplinary programs to be established

Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) hosted Professors Wi Jung Hyun, Joongang University and Kim Ji Hwan, Suwon University, digital and green technology experts, respectively, for invited talks under the thematic banner of “Changes in future industry and university education reform” last Tuesday (December 1, 2020).

More than 100 persons participated in the online program conducted untact.

Professor Wie spoke about “4th industrial revolution and its educational measures,” whereas Professor Kim discussed “Green new deal and related policy changes.”

To consolidate the education requirements to prepare for the 4th industrial revolution, cutting edge education academic departments will be established at Jeju National University under the governmental sponsorship by 2022.

Professor Kang Hee Chan of Incheon University and Dr. Park Hwan Il of Science and Technology Policy Institute (STEPI) will be next invited speakers.
