JNU, Chung-Ang University, and Jeju Special Self-Governing Province signed an MOU to revitalize 'Learncation' (Learning + Vacation), a new model for youth growth and regional development, at the summit of Dodubong on July 18.

The agreement aims to revitalize exchanges in education and research, including cooperation in the operation of programs using the seasonal semester credit exchange system, in conjunction with special educational development zones among the three organizations. Accordingly, the three organizations agreed to cooperate in establishing a regional innovation-oriented university support system (RISE), establishing and promoting university education innovation strategies, and developing and operating student support courses and non-curricular programs.

After the signing ceremony, JNU President Kim Eel-hwan, Jeju Governor Oh Young-hun, Chung-Ang University President Park Sang-gyu, as well as students, faculty members, and staff from the three organizations engaged in plogging activities around Dodubong Peak.

Students and faculty members of Chung-Ang University have conducted plogging in Jeju under the "Jungdaehan Geoleum: Jeju-ro" program, which is a summer vacation volunteer activity.

JNU President Kim Eel-hwan said, "JNU will provide opportunities for students from other regions to obtain credits and experience Jeju culture by utilizing various credit exchanges in the JNU intensive course of vacation."
