과기정통부 ‘안전관리 우수연구실’ 인증 획득
Ministry of Science and ICT certifies JNU for lab safety

Animal Genetic Engineering Laboratory (Sohn Young Ok, Principal Investigator) and Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory (Lim Hee Jung, Principal Investigator) of the Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) College of Life and Natural Resource Sciences and College of Natural Science, respectively, have earned certifications for the 2020 Safety Management Laboratories from the Ministry of Science and ICT last week (December 22, 2020).

The safety certifications represent JNU’s successful campaign to manage research laboratories on the campus during the recent years.

Previously, Jeju National University was chosen as a laboratory safety organization from the Ministry of Science and ICT and Korea Institute for Life Science and Biotechnology National Headquarter for Safe Research Management (2020). Also, Professor Hyo-Yeon Lee of Molecular Biotechnology Majors earned a distinction for his safety contributions to LMO crop research and development (2020) from the Ministry of Science and ICT.
