JNU college set to collaborate in research with Göttingen University

 

 

Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) disclosed today (December 28, 2020) that the College of Life and Natural Resource Science (Chun Yong Cheol, Dean) signed the agreement with Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany, for collaborative research.

 

The collaborative research revolves around the interaction between the environment and the genetic characteristics in corn through a study of the gene expression and genomic structure.

 

Professor Chung Yong Seok of the Plant Resource Environment Majors will be collaborating with Professor Timothy Weissinger of Göttingen University.

 

The Göttingen University located in Göttingen, Germany, was established in 1737. It is one of the most distinguished and oldest institutions in Europe. Currently, 24,400 students are enrolled in the university.
