Making Seogwipo health care town a hub of bio-health in Seogwipo is in a full swing.

Jeju International Free City Development Center (Moon Dae Rim, Chair) signed the agreement with Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) and Congressman Wee Sung Gon (Seogwipo representative, Government Party) to develop Seogwipo as a bio-health hub last week (January 28, 2021).

Congressman Wee successfully ran for his congressional seat with the proposal of making Seogwipo a hub of bio-health industry at the last election.

The idea was followed up at the 1st policy discussion session on the proposal.

The tripartite agreement aims at △using a pharmacy college lecture hall within the health care town, along with laboratories, △providing bio-health industry space within the health care town, △induce research labs and bioindustry corporations into the town, △provide classes and laboratories within the tow, △pharmacy college-related conferences, seminars and symposia to be held jointly within the town.

At the signing ceremony, President Song, Chairman Moon, and Congressman Wee all assured the audience in attendance that they would focus their efforts to establish a hub of the bio-health industry in Seogwipo in the near future.
