Oceanographic fusion specialist training project holds untact lecture and workshop with well-known researchers

Jeju National University (Song Seok-Eon, President) BK (Brain Korea21) Bigdata-Based Oceanographic Fusion Specialists Training Project (Bae Jin Ho, Director) held a workshop on oceanographic bigdata with industrial-academic experts invited to the event.

The program was presented to establish the shared platform for the development of maritime industry in terms of industry academy education, research and commercialization in preparation for the 4th industrial era.

To implement the program, establishment of smart fishing prospects using maritime and oceanographic data and block chain, maritime bigdata service and its consolidation, and shared management of the maritime “heavic” data service specialist training (joint educational curriculum management), and other diverse agenda.

Professor Kim Tae Joon of the University of Kansas, an internationally well-known scientist, was invited to deliver a keynote speech involving 5G communication and data innovation. He also helped establish the joint research networking here at Jeju National University.
