German Studies and Biology Education departments selected as best courses for 2020

Jeju National University (President Song Seok-eon) announced the results of its 2020 performance review on Friday (March 5). According to the results, the Department of German Studies (Head of the Department, Park Yo-song) and Department of Biology Education (Head of the Department, Kang Kyung-hee) have named the best departments of the year, earning the highest scores.

The departments with the second highest scores include the Faculty of Exercise and Sports Sciences (Head of the Faculty Kim Mi-ye), Department of English Language and Literature (Head of the Department Rhee Beau La), Department of Mathematics (Head of the Department Ryu Sang-wook) and Department of Electronic Engineering (Head of the Department Kim Woo Young).

The departments with the highest and the second highest scores will be awarded citations and incentives.

Jeju National University runs an autonomous accountability system for its undergraduate programs to heighten the school’s competitiveness and allow for advancement in different academic disciplines. The university conducts a yearly performance review of the entire departments in an effort to systematically prepare for off-campus university accreditations.
