Jeju-based university libraries to allow reciprocal access to academic resources

The Jeju National University Library on Friday (Feb. 26) signed an agreement for reciprocal access to academic resources with the libraries of other Jeju-based universities, including Jeju International University, Jeju Tourism University, and Cheju Halla University.
The university authorities concluded the agreement for the purposes of building a cooperative network through which local researchers are allowed to conveniently access documents and facilities of each library concerned. With Cheju Halla University joining the existing agreement that was signed in 2019 among Jeju National University, Jeju Tourism University, and Jeju International University, the network is expected to be more accessible and beneficial to local researchers.
Kim So-mi, Director of the JNU Central Library, stated in the signing ceremony that solidarity and cooperation among local university libraries will help strengthen the accessibility to research data and contribute to the advancement of the respective universities and local community as a whole.
With the agreement effectuated, registered users of the four universities will be allowed to access data and facilities of the universities, starting from March 1. The students will also be entitled to participate in the different programs run by each library. Students are encouraged to contact their university libraries for more details on the use of other libraries.
