International Development and Cooperation Center holds workshop for global citizenship educators

Jeju National University’s International Development and Cooperation Center (Jeju-IDCC) held a workshop on Friday (March 12) for teachers who had previously taken a training course as global citizenship educators.

During the workshop, the trainees learned teaching skills by attending trial classes by experienced teachers, sharing teaching methodologies for a non-face-to-face education environment, and making suggestions and feedback to each other.

Those who completed the training course and the subsequent workshop will visit local primary and secondary schools for the 2021 period to teach students on global citizenship.

Schools and youth organizations may request their dispatches to their institutions by contacting the Jeju-IDCC.

Established in 2015 through a trilateral memorandum of understanding between the local government, the state-led KOICA, and the JNU, the university’s on-campus institution for official development assistance has worked to revitalize the ODA project implementation and internationalization of Jeju Island.
