JNU held its Commencement Events for the Class of 2023 on August 21. During the ceremony, a total of 728 degrees were awarded, including 476 bachelor's, 193 master's, and 59 doctoral degrees.

In addition, the JNU President's Awards were presented to outstanding graduates for their academic and research achievements. The recipients included one outstanding undergraduate graduate and eight graduate students who received the Excellent Research and Excellent Thesis Awards.

In his commencement address, JNU President Kim Eel-hwan expressed his hope that the graduates would persevere through any challenges they face and fully utilize the skills and experiences they have gained to achieve their goals. He also emphasized that JNU will continue to strive for excellence, ensuring it remains a proud alma mater for all its graduates.
