Japan-Korea international symposium to take place in Japan under joint sponsorship of JNU Center for Jejuans in Japan

The JNU Center for Jejuans in Japan (Kim Dong Jeon, Director) plans to hold a joint international symposium with the Osaka City University Human Rights Research Center (Kazuhiro Shima, Director) on the topic of "Korean diaspora and Jeju immigrants in Japan." The symposium is scheduled to take place in Osaka City University next weekend (June 21, 2014).

The symposium program features speakers from Jeju National University including Professors Kim Dong Jeon, Cho Sung Yoon and Kim Chi Wan.

Osaka City University speakers include Professors Kazuhiro Shima, Chung Young Jin and Michihiko Noguchi.

The joint symposium was initiated at the Jeju National University center last October (2013). Following this year's meeting in Osaka, it will take place in Jeju next year.
